But this, then, begs the (another?) question.  If [V] is more central,
then should there be a different symbol for the open-mid counterpart
of [7] ("rams horns", close-mid, back, unrounded vowel)?  I suppose
the only thing to do is do some recordings and look at some
spectrograms...
