While I do personally believe that homosexuality is at the very least
instanted by the time of birth (e.g. I never "chose"* to be gay - it's how
I've always been), I believe this big-brother-effect hypotheis is the result
of grasping for an answer. Yes, I, myself, do had an older brother - who was
also gay. I know many gay men who are either only-childs or first-borns, or
who have older sisters.
*The idea that people choose their sexuality always amused me. Yeah, as a
child, I looked out my window, saw someone gay beingbeaten up by 4 or 5
straight men**, and thought "That's for me!".
**Ever notice how it always takes more than one straight man to beat up a
solitary gay man?
