I daresay 'sounds nice' is determined individually, and culture has
almost nothing to do with it. Certainly your lámatyávë is to an extent
shaped by your native language, but that doesn't make it dependent on
cultural conventions or whatnot.
Personally, I find French pretty interesting linguistically and its
historical grammar fascinating, but aesthetically it's nowhere near
being a nice-sounding language. In my opinion, of course.
