Shoulda been on the Celticonlang list at the right time. We kicked around
various alternatives, including cg, before settling on this one. It is
fairly natural, not overtly un-Romance, and handles both c and g uniformly.
An alternative notation is c-with-acute, g-with-acute, but I prefer the
apostrophe as denoting a now-lost front vowel.
