Don't forget the Correct Revised version: "Have you finished beating me?" They're certainly different in Kash: aka me (mende) harindi (ha)kepa-kepak? Q me (perf.) you-stop (you-)beat [=hit repeatedly] "Have you stopped beating me?" (Come to think of it, this translation is very odd. If you are no longer being beaten, obviously your tormentor has stopped, if only temporarily. Why ask him/her? Well, perhaps it's just a long pause between blows, and you're wondering...?) aka me (mende) hamende (ha)kepa-kepak Q me (perf.) you-finish (you-)beat (the items in parens are usually omitted in speech)
