Aha! I see what you mean. An interesting site. I'm not sure if I agree with their ideas for the "thirteen traditional counties of Wales", though, especially not for the North. Here in North Wales Caernarvonshire and Merioneth don't figure much in popular perception, and haven't ever really done. Personally, I consider myself a Gwyneddwr, a Venedotian, not "a man of Caernarvonshire", as do most people. The names of the ancient Kingdoms (Dyfed, Cereidigion, Gwynedd, Gwent, Morgannwg and Brycheiniog) have always been more common in native Welsh literature and in the popular imagination than the "shires".
