Minyeva: http://minyeva.alkaline.org I just got done reorganizing some of the function words - so they will differ from previous translations of mine.
> 1. bread
= pijo (single loaf of bread)
> I would like 4 loaves of bread, please.
fwefile le u vyu pijo, sive le. would.like.to.have I - four loaf.of.bread, ask I. notes: would-like is affixed to the verb 'to have', with the result meaning 'would like to have'. "sive le" is the equivalent of "please". ---------------------------------------------------
> 2. flour
= flesa
> This bread is made with 7 cups of flour. > (obviously, convert this to your native measuring system.)
qaco kri qapijo u nwa syo bwekcu jle flesa. made.of this bread - using 7 cup.measure of.amount flour. ---------------------------------------------------
> 3. glaze (n or v)
= jaglo (n)
> This delicious-looking loaf is glazed with honey/has a > honey glaze.

> 6. oven
= nwaso
> The bakery is very busy - we have to use all 8 ovens > constantly.
vibeta sao kafi'pijo - masavo lao u tcao vlu nwaso u syulepta. very.busy the bakery : must.use us - all 8 ovens - constantly. ---------------------------------------------------
> 7. bake
= [pat] kaji
> That bread is baked, but those 3 over there are fried.

> 8. cost / price
= nepu (to cost)
> How much do those 6 loaves cost?
ta kcu nepu kwa mla pijo? QW how.much cost those six loaves? notes: ta = question word. ---------------------------------------------------
> 9. unusual

> This is an unusual recipe for bread - it has very little flour!
sedepenwa'kusa qesa bra qapijo kri ye - is.set.instruction.cook unusual for bread this one - pive fe u vi nai flesa. has it - very little flour. notes: penwa is a single instruction, depenwa is a natural set of instructions, and depenwa'kusa is a set of cooking instructions - a recipe. ---------------------------------------------------
> 10. holiday
= zuka (celebratory)
> I want to order 9 holiday loaves. What will the cost be?

It doesn't seem that many people translated this one... amount of replies seem to be dropping... maybe it wasn't as exciting as the others? -- Garrett Jones http://www.alkaline.org
