Well, I like that idea. I had a Spanish professor last year that terrorized us and we basically called her "the Dragon Lady". It would have been nice to have something to refer to her without her knowing. Anywho, it got me to thinking about how I would handle insults in Tilon Nevo. So, I thought of the following: For derogatory words, I use the root 'for-'. I use it because it doesnt sound like it is offensive (to my ears). This is added onto other words to create derogatory words, or it has affixes added onto it to create all purpose derrogatory words. Examples - foramo - just a general insult when you cant think of a specific insult. No real translation. The next two are equivalent to "bitch" (as used among my peers, "bitch" can be used for both men and women) - forako - insult for men - foraso - insult for women - donano che foramo - general insult. used like "son of a bitch" but gender neutral - foreno - group insult More specific insults: - forjepo - shit - forjepabo - piece of shit - forjepgafo - shit head - forhalosun - someone who is too much into sex that it occupies all of their time. It's sort of like how whore would be used but is for both sexes. - forjeramo - for this one the derrogatory root is added onto the word for "one who dreams". Implying they aren't grounded in reality, kind of like a flake or air head or overly idealistic. Some of the derrogatory words do not need 'for-' added on to become an insult. - pilamo - a poisonous person, a bad seed - faikodin - ignorant - deihodin - heartless, cold These are just a few of them. I could think of more but I need to check the rest of my email :). _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- 'The beginning calls for courage; the end demands care'
