Well, shall I remind you that you were talking about how to represent [e] vs. [E] in the Latin alphabet, and that of your two examples, one was about [E] vs. [ej] (or [e:], but not [e] at all) and the other in the Greek alphabet? (as for "eire", http://www.contemporarypoetry.com/brain/lang/irish1.html says |ei| is equivalent to English |eh|, which I've always taken to represent [E] (since [e:] is more or less represented |ay|), so unless it's wrong, it would be another example in my favor) At least, my own example was to the point, and wasn't trying to divert the whole thing be giving imperfect examples.

Both things you really have to learn about... At least, I didn't pretend to know more than you about your native language.

But I never said that my way was more logic. I just said that it was more common! My whole point was that "logic" is pointless in this matter! (something about diplomacy and good manner: listening to the other is always a sign of diplomacy and good manner)

Where? All other replies there were were all saying that whatever logic may be behind your claim, it was probably not going to be what people will think first, and will mostly confuse rather than enlighten people. Who was "ignoring" things then?

Well, be sure at least that I won't bother reply anymore to your posts until I get apologies from your part (at least I tried to stay polite with you. I can't say it's the same from the other side, and I'm not in a mood to accept insults currently).
