Well, I know plenty of rural French who prononce final |-et| as [e], as well as
quite a few Suisses who do the same. I know enough Belgian people to know that
they most commonly do the same. Only non-native speakers of French, maybe
Quebecois (though I'm not sure of that) and some nobles, though they have
nearly disappeared would pronounce |-et| as [E] (unlike what you seem to mean,
|-et| pronounced [e] *is* a pronunciation coming from rural places and other
francophone countries besides France, which later became common also in French
cities, not the contrary.

Turn your argument around. We've proved you wrong quite enough already, and
still you will not admit anything. If that's not a fundamentalist position,
