Well, one example I can remember from the lecture I had on it (but hey, that was two years ago!) was: [k_ji"taj@ts StA"n1 p@t_jE"r_jaj-l@] The Chinese lost his trousers The -l@ sounds a lot like the Russian -la fem. past ending, but is in fact the Chinese _le_. Unfortunately, Vladimir Belikov, who is _the_ authority on pidgins and creoles, including but not limited to RusseNorsk and the Chinese-Russian pidgin of Harbin (that's the one I exemplified above), is not offering a course about them this semester - but I am taking his Polynesian languages course :)) Pavel (taking Swedish, Latin, Old Church Slavic, Old Russian, Mod.
