Whoops! Typo. "Fit wye" is "why", "fit lyke" is "how". Another peculiarity of Northeast Scots (aka "Doric" to many of those who speak it) that I just remembered is that the first person singular present of the verb "do" is "A div" -- it's developed a "v", and rhymes with "A hiv" ("I have"). Thomas
