I left out the grammatical breakdown (unusually) for Franj. Here it is: I NEG know(1sgl.PRS) that you(2sgl/inf) be(2sgl.IMP) a(m) philosopher or I NEG know(1sgl.PRS) that you(2pl/form) be(2pl.IMP) a(m) philosopher Note: The word _welime_ (taken from Arabic via Turkic _ghalim_) is the usual word for a philosopher. _Un filùsùf_ /u~n [or /a~n/] fi:.lY'sYf/ means a scientist (abbreviation of a later borrowing "natural philosopher").
