I went and did that, as well as installing the other monospace unicode fonts Lucida Sans Unicode and one just called "monospace". Didn't do me much good though: I can get them in "web page font" but they still won't show up in "plain text font". Paul Bennett wrote:

I managed to address "installed", but that didn't seem to affect "available".

Andale Mono, Courier New, and Lucida Console.

98se. The annoying thing about this is that there's got to be someone on this list who's using MS IE and sees their unicode plain text just fine. So I'd rather fix whatever little thing is preventing me from doing the same, and avoid more drastic measures if I can. It's kind of like living in an apartment building where your neighbour has just had his front door replaced -- through the hallway, of course -- but the building superintendent says you can't replace *your* door unless you knock out your whole apartment, replace the door from the outside of the building, then build the apartment back in again. M
