I think that's a different stuff. Our dulce de leche is a
smooth sticky mass, usually (slightly reddish dark) brown,
that you spread over bread and/or butter, or use to glue
the halves of cakes together (sometimes mixed with cream),
or inside _cubanitos_ (icecream-like cones filled with
dulce) or in _alfajores_ (two small round pieces of pastry
joined by dulce or cream, and generally covered in chocolate).
Or you can just take the pot from the fridge and eat it up
with a spoon in your spare time. :)
