In the language whose name (in Rihana-ye) is Hemana-ye (one I don't
believe I have discussed on this list), the native name of the
country in the native language came out as Jesos, IIRC. I feel
uncomfortable with it, but changing it would involve changing a large
number of other words because the sos root means something like land,
earth, and appears in many other words. Jesos also has a certain ironic
appropriateness, as Hemana is a heavily patriarchal-theocratic conculture
(the people there worship only the equivalent of the Rihana-ye Tivaba, the
adult male god, whereas in Rihana they worship also Tivaka the adult
female goddess and Tivada the child god). Incidentally, Hemana-ye is intended,
like the conlang which started this thread, as a pseudoSemitic lang; it is
underdeveloped due to my own ignorance of Semitic natlangs.
