Haitian Creole has two layers of French vocabulary, distinguishable by what happens to rounded front vowels: unrounded (y>i) in the original lexicon and unfronted (y>u) in later borrowings from French. Or maybe the other way around. -- Anton Sherwood -- http://www.ogre.nu/
