Sorry. That was me, David Stokes. I guess I should know better. I know of
at least 4 active Davids on this list. Maybe there are more and I'm just
confusing some of them.
Once upon a time the workers at the Texas Rennesaince Festival (most of
whom seemed to be named David) held a David party. Had to be named David
to enter. It was packed.
It was also noted, in the planning of the above party I think, that Davids
seem to cluster. Fields related to Science Fiction/ Fantasy, Historical
Re-enactment, Astronomy, seem to have large numbers of Davids. (at least
in my own un-scientific assesment). Other areas have very few. Conlanging
goes in the David-ful catagory, I guess. I've speculated about the
upbringing given by parents predisposed to name their son David, etc...
but have not yet produced a definative theory.
