Ah, thanks for the characters even - they come across
crystal clear!
As far as I understand these Japanese words,
_geijutsu_ is a type of artistic trade (as _gei_
refers to the arts, like _geijin_ as an celebrity) and
_gijyutsu_ is in regard to a type of technical trade
(as _gi_ refers to skill).
Then again, I'm not a native speaker of Jpn - and
certainly know nothing of Chinese, but I think the
above explanation suffices.
