Just one nit: before the early 19th century Sweden and Denmark were unable
to keep peace with each other. A millennium of territorial rivalry
punctuated by peace agreements, in fact. It was only the ascendancy of
Russia and Britain after the fall of napoleon that put an end to the madness.
