The Tunu Ministry of Education and the Breeding of Big Fat Yummy Caterpillars
(MEBBFYC) recently changed the Tunu script. /N/ is now written <q> and /tS/ is
written <c>. Semi-vowels /w/ and /y/ are now written <u> and <i>.

1. bless---Hocu ; taihocu
She blessed me softly (i.e. in a soft voice).
Kama atoli taihocu kami uatona iakoqoku
"She already blesses me with-voice which-[is]-un-hard."

2. curse--Hoqocu ; taihoqocu
We cursed them quickly because they wounded us.
Kakami atoli taihoqocu kakama okono ikakama atoli taikica kakami.
"We already un-bless them from-cause that-they already wound us."

3. charm / amulet / talisman / lucky charm---Tama (mahi) hocu = "tool [of]
(magics) [of] blessing"
I made a beautifully carved amulet from the bone that I found.
Kami atoli taikohunia tama hocu uakita lima ouakoke ikami atoli cehaq.
"I already carve-into tool [of] blessing with-way beautiful from-with-bone
which-I already find-it.

4. sorcerer / wizard / magician---Hana mahi = "master [of] magics"
Shaman---Hana papana = "master [of] souls"
That sorcerer usually blesses our charms for us.
Kama hana mahi analo taihocu tamatama hocu iekakami.
"That master [of] magics usually blesses tool-tool [of] blessing which-to-us."

 5. magic (n or adj)---Mahi
This charm was made with magic.
Kama tama hocu atoli naimakomianio mahi.
"This tool [of] blessing is-already made-into-from magics."

This magically blessed charm is powerful.
Kama tama hocu amahi ahupo.
"This tool [of] blessing is-magical [and]-is-strong."

6. rite / ritual---Huku huno = "ceremony [of] religion"
ceremony---Huku
She curses them every day.
Kama ataihoqocu kakama ukoto cali.
"She un-blesses them in-each day."

7.  chant (n or v)---Hailimi namo = "to sing a prayer"
She is a sorceress, and she usually chants magical words.
Kama alainoca hana mahi analo hailimi namo matumatu iamahi.
"She is-woman master [of] magics [and]-usually sings prayer word-word
which-are-magical."

8.  bestow---Tula
This charm bestows happiness.
Kama tama hocu ataitica.
"This tool [of] blessing makes-happy."

9.  amazing---Caimino = "to make oneself surprising"
Zaphod says that it is amazingly amazing!
Hana Capo alale ikame acaiminomino!
"Master Distribution says that-it is-amazing-amazing!"

10.  prayer---Namo
Prayer is powerful magic.
Mamatu namo ateka tama mahi iahupo.
"Words [of] prayer are-like tool [of] magics which-is-strong."
