I understand _cante_ means "language", but what is its etymology? I ask because I find Rumiyaan _lengaj_ too bland... At 11:51 2002-08-20 +0100, Jan van Steenbergen wrote:

Sohlob /sQ"KQb_0/ also has VSO as basic word order... One verb to rule them all and in the sentence bind them! ;-) At 11:09 2002-08-20 -0400, Steg Belsky wrote:

What's the definite form like in Aramaic? Possibly something more convincingly Romance could be created out of it? The idea of Roance preserving Latin /h/ nags the hell out of me! /BP 8^)> -- B.Philip Jonsson mailto:melrochX@melroch.net (delete X) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~__ A h-ammen ledin i phith! \ \ __ ____ ____ _____________ ____ __ __ __ / / \ \/___ \\__ \ /___ _____/\ \\__ \\ \ \ \\ \ / / / / / / / \ / /Melroch\ \_/ // / / // / / / / /___/ /_ / /\ \ / /Melarokko\_ // /__/ // /__/ / /_________//_/ \_\/ /Eowine __ / / \___/\_\\___/\_\ Gwaedhvenn Angeliniel\ \______/ /a/ /_h-adar Merthol naun ~~~~~~~~~Kuinondil~~~\________/~~\__/~~~Noolendur~~~~~~ || Lenda lenda pellalenda pellatellenda kuivie aiya! || "A coincidence, as we say in Middle-Earth" (JRR Tolkien)
