So I made a test page.
[most skipped]
I'm thinking of using the third sample -- characters with separate dots,
and the Thryomanes font -- since that version seems to work best in the
configurations that I've tested. If anyone wants to test the page with
different browsers, default browser fonts, or operating systems, let me
know of any problems that come up.
If you don't have the Thryomanes font, you can download it from:

I tried it at the office under IE5/Win98 with Thr. installed. Results: Line #1 -- many dots are shifted off-center and invisible under thin letters. Line #2 -- boxes... Lines #3 & #4 -- both are OK, though in some cases dots still seem just a bit off-centered. For me it's quite all right. I'll be able to test the page with Opera6.0 at home, but I'm afraid it may happen only after the Sabbath (she's near, near... la-la-la...) BTW, don't you think Thryomanes becomes almost standard for conlanging purposes, if one needs smth beyond Latin Extended-A... I like it, though I smtimes use Gentium as an alternative. Unf-ly they have only reg and italics...
