I'm not quite ready to believe in this amount of intricacy from a major
commercial movie, but if that's how it turns out, it still stinks. Neo's
supposed to have brain, and don't tell me he's just "playing along" - we'll
end up at the entire thing being a play within the movie, a play which is
quite as bad as the movie's plot is if Morpheus is right.
