Here's my attempt at Lojban:
da'i do .uu krici lo du'u pa po'o da bangu finti tadji
hypothetically you (pity) believe the fact one only thing language
inventor method
Hypothetically, you (pitifully) believe that there is only one
language type-of inventor type-of method.
Let him be pitied, who thinks there is only one way to make a language.
That's a very casual style of Lojban, putting so much work on an
attitudinal (".uu") and stacking up a tall tanru like that ("bangu
finti tadji"). The following is an attempt at a different sort of
Lojbanicness, putting Lojban's logic to the test:
ga nai da'i da krici lo du'u pa po'o de tadji lo nu finti lo bangu gi
da selkecti .ei
X/OR negate-first hypothetically DA believes the proposition one only
thing method the event invent a language and DA is-pitied should-be
Either it is not the case that something which we'll call DA believes
the proposition that only one thing is a method for inventing a
language, or else DA ought to be pitied, or both, but not neither.
If DA thinks there's only one way to make a language, then DA should be pitied.
Let him be pitied, who thinks there is only one way to make a language.
But even Lojbanists tend to scratch their heads at that stuff. :P
