Ooh, exciting!
There are a few ways to do this in Classical Arithide:
1. Fairē, dhel-mathintae veirē ire dum meta painone.
pity.IMP, language-construction.DAT only one.ESS method.ESS * think.AGT.ACC
Pity the one who thinks that only one method exists for constructing a
language.
2. Dhel-mathintae veir veirē ire dum meta painona fairesit.
language-construction.DAT only one.ABL method.ABL * think.IMPF.ppl.AGT.TOP
pity.PASS-IMP
Let he who thinks that only one method exists for constructing a language be
pitied.
Where * is the name of the particle that indicates a direct quotation
immediately before (what is the name for this?).
Peter, how do you pronounce the cluster <flt> in the example you gave? Is
the <l> vocalised, or syllabified?
