Thanks for the link to the Fraktur site. I remember as a child teaching myself German (I can never forget "der des dem den; die der der die, etc.") and learning how to write in Fraktur. I thought it (and I) were so cool. The word "aluminium" must indeed look hilarious in Fraktur. By my count there are 15 strokes. Thank goodness for the dots on the "i's" and the breve over the "u." Perhaps one should write it as we do here in America and leave out that final "i." :-) One less vertical stroke! Charlie http:wiki.frath.net/user:caeruleancentaur
