Hmm? I think I don't understand. For translating a text I *must* make
the vocab first, otherwise I cannot translate! :-)
Or are there conlangers that define texts untranslatable if there are
not all words in the lexicon? They'd then put the text aside until
the vocab happens to be complete enough to translate that text? I
suppose I'd find that strange. :-)
If the question is whether I make lexicon without a certain text to
trigger word creation on demand, the answer is yes, I do create vocab
for the sole purpose to add words to the lexicon.
OTOH, when I translate a text, I also do make new words as needed, but
I think everyone does that unless the lexicon is defined to be fixed.
But what exactly do you mean? I really think I might have
misunderstood you.
