It's definitely Catalan, but I don't know what r. means -- it's probably
a separator.  Catalan distinguishes l.l and ll, where the latter is
as in Peninsular Spanish and the former is just two l's in a row.
And remember, Catalan is essentially French and Spanish spoken at the
same time!
