Techs have a long tradition of vegetarianism (milk and eggs are not
excluded). But they can eat fries and green salad and drink shakes!
I haven't worked out the Tech measurement system; it'll be something like
those found in the ancient Near East, including all the Biblical units. So
instead of meters or feet and inches, there will be cubits, hands and
fingers. I also mentioned the use of base-60 instead of pure decimal, and
<tangental rambling>right now I'm trying to decide what kind of musical
tuning system the Techs will use - I'm leaning towards 360-tone equal
temperament (it includes 72-tone and 120-tone and both approximate just
intonation very well for prime factors). Six 'tones' per octave, sixty
'degrees' per tone.</tangental rambling>
So what would metric look like if it was sexagesimal?
