I never noticed the rhyme in the original, I'm sure it's no great loss.
(I've never thought of it as particularly great verse.)

Yes indeed! I couldn't work out 'dunkel', 'sterf' or 'hersh', but
everything else was quite obvious :) (I mean, given the context I
could, but they're the ones that don't have obvious English cognates.)
I'll enjoy hearing more of this one.
