Seconded, as a Brit moving to North Carolina. Oddly, though, I'm becoming
acclimatised, which sucks a bit. Instead of being in shirt-sleeves in the
winter, and just about coping with the summer, I'm coping adequately with
the summer, and bundling up in layers to survive the winter. I am starting
to stop getting ("I am stopping to get"?) funny looks when I take
cigarette breaks at work in the winter, which is kind of unpleasant
because the "YE GODS MAN! ARE YOU INSANE?!?" comments were always a good
ice-breaker.
