Whenever people post something using the upper half of the Latin-1 set,
they get through to here without a problem. Since I've been mucking about
with my consolefonts, they don't show up right in textmode, but in an
X-term, I've never had any problems with accents sent out by anyone
on this list. Since most mailers nowadays quote accents in mime format
(with an equal sign and the decimal code) before sending the mail out,
it seldom gets mangled anymore. One problem could be that people are
sending mail out in some silly Microsoft character set, instead of
pure Latin-1, but, again, I've never had a problem with anything on
the list.
