taruven currently uses the apostrope to mark preaspiration, post- aspiration, breathy voice and /h/, now whether you consider all that to be the same thing or entirely separate depends on what phonetic/ phonologic theor(y|ies) you subscribe to. I'm thinking of using {h} instead tho'... (talk about full circle :) ) t.
