Pali, a very beautiful lg in my never so humble opinion, was the language in which the texts were collected but not the Buddha's lg. Now that my beloved has awakened, I can tell you that the original language of the Buddha was Ardha-Magadhi, originally spoken near the present day Nepal-India border. I am unaware of any grammars or dictionaries. -- Brad Coon hawksinger@fwi.com http://www.fortunecity.com/rivendell/everquest/624 My Conlang and Conculture pages http://www.ipfw.indiana.edu/east1/coon/web/index.htm Most of my pages including my home page http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Gorge/7264 My Outdoor and Primitive Skills Pages http://members.tripod.com/~Hawksinger My wine pages.
