"Deus" is no more the Latin name of God than "God" is the English name of
the Supernal being who is not named, so much as given a descriptor.
Although, actually He supposedly does have a name, of unknown
pronunciation: "YHVH", and if that were really to be translated into
English, it is speculated that it would be somethingl like "I am" or "It
is" or "He is" or "He who exists".
