I'd expect that Spanish-speaking Jews would use the Hebrew name if Pe'saj would be confused with Easter otherwise! :) English-speaking Jews use both the English and Hebrew names, although i've found that generally people with more judaic education and/or knowledge of hebrew tend to use Pesach. "Passover" just sounds sorta weird to me...

On the website for the movie it looked like there are a few different language versions of it. Did you see the Spanish version? In the English one i saw, i was pleasantly surprised to find out that some of the songs included Hebrew phrases, such as the beginning "Deliver Us" song where Yokheved sings _al tira ve'al tifhhad_ (don't be scared and don't be afraid) to little Moses as she's putting him in the basket. Also, the "Sea Song" had words from the real Song of the Sea (_shirat hayam_), although i didn't really like the tune the movie used that much :) . Did the Spanish version also have these Hebrew phrases? Maybe i should check the website... -Stephen (Steg) ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
