Re: translation -- the duke was smitten

At some time, someone wrote:

This was a challenge. The Kélen don't have Dukes, or even
kitchen-boys in that sense, but...

temme ansácíñ mo márón to mawínle anjílnéran antáka;

So, "temme" means past tense transfer from 3p sg to 3p sg
"ansácíñ" is a polite word for lust
"mo" is a goal marker, so the recipient or experiencer of the lust.
"márón" is the word used for the male head of the family or the male
head of a guild.
"to" is a source marker used for inanimate sources. When used with an
animate source, it denotes an unwillingness or ignorance on the part
of the source.
"mawínle" is the word used for lowest ranking guild members, the
pre-students who do the menial work.
"anjílnéran" means of the Kitchen Guild
"antáka" means strong in a physical sense, i.e. muscular.

Now, this sentence wouldn't really mean anything to a Kéleñ. All
sorts of shenanigans go on in guilds and in families and as long as
it is confined to a single guild (or family) no one cares. On the
other hand, if we name names, as in:

temme ansácíñ mo márón anástaña to mawínle anjílnéran antáka;

and make it the head of the ástaña clan was besotted with the Kitchen
guild pre-student, well then, that is good juicy gossip. Especially
since the Ástaña's are closely involved with the Garden Guild, a
major rival of the Kitchen Guild.
