Korean and Japanese both have extensive Chinese vocabularies, while Swahili
was originally as a lingua media between conquering Arabs and the local
Bantu-speaking population of the coastal areas of modern-day Kenya and
Tanzania (especially Zanzibar).

Thank you, Danny. I remember these examples. I just didn't mantion them for
sake of time. My phrase "Maybe there are more examples" was purely rhetoric.
BTW IMO KiSwahili is especially nice.

I thought it was "bad hair day", but there are three words for "hair" in
Modern Persian, and I didn't know which one to use. I could've used either
_mu_ or _gisu_ instead. The other two words were a no-brainer.

Ah! So it's |zolf| spelt with [thal] "curls", not with [dad] "hoof"!
