Also note, that like Mozarabe, Montreiano was also being influenced by Arabic (at the time of the Arab kingdoms in Spain). And the mozarabe example shows that the word had been taken up and was being used in a way to mean news, or tidings. But in Montreiano, the word remained and took on a new, and more general semantic meaning for just "news". Plus, i just like how it sounds.
