It's not unknown to me, rafiko (=colleague). I merely meant that since
Spanish fem.def.art. comes from proto-form *ela, it may have happened in
Arabo-Romance, that Arabic loans would prefer use rather |äl| than |la|,
being influenced by Ar. |;l|.

Of course, in your Arabo-Romance language, you can always have an invariable
article, from Arabic influence (in my Arabo-Romance project, the article is
|il-
|, and like in Arabic it behaves like a prefix.

Not sure it could have happened in *my* situation, 'coz Arabic influence
onto morphology was much weaker than onto vocabulary. I'd prefer to keep m/f
and sn/pl distinctions...

BTW, since we started talking about *your* Arabo-Romance and *my*
Arabo-Romance, I have to make at least a provisional name for *my* project
to avoid confusions.

I'm still wondering how to evolve Latine phonology into something more

like for my Arabo-Romance language. The ideas are still distillating in my
brains, but I'm pretty sure to manage getting a Romance language with both
Semitic phonology and morphophonology! :)) One way I've found is to simplify
Latin initial consonant clusters, some by inserting a vowel, but others by
transforming them into emphatics (details not yet known ;))) ).

Oh, no. Morfologicly I believe Rumiya is going to be quite Ibero-Romance.
Smth may happen with syntax, but merely a flavor. My patterns in this kind
of so-to-say "contact languages" are English, Yiddish and Farsi.
