Oh my. I must have been asleep! Though Christophe isn't right either.
|Azúcar| is a masculine noun. "La azúcar blanca" is wrong twice,
one on the gender (feminine, as implied by the agreement with
|blanca|) and one on the article (which should be |el| in any
case, no matter the gender). There's a famous music group called
"Azúcar Moreno". The confusion may arise due to the fact that
|azúcar| starts with /a/, which is easy to mistake for the final
/a/ of the feminine article when in fact it's a masculine, |el|,
with a very fast, almost inaudible /e/.
