Ok. My two kopecks in addition. Russian being my L1, and Ukrainian - L1.5 :) , so understanding both written and spoken Belarusian is quite easy for me. As for Bulgarian, its common Church Slavonic heritage helps very much (as Pavel already mentioned). Taking into account that I learnt some Bulgarian when a schoolboy (10-12 lesson from a primer), reading Bulgarian is more or less ok. But I understand only occasional words, when it is spoken ;) ~~~~~~Yitzik~~~~~~
