Definitely a source of confusion. In English, "jumper weather" (well,
on this side of the pond we say "sweater weather") means "cold", because
when it's not cold, you don't need a sweater at all.
There is, of course, weather that is colder than "sweater weather",
which I suppose one might call "jacket weather", but the implication is
that "sweater weather" is cooler than the norm.
