I'm going to assume "jumper" means something like "sweater"
outside of the United States. Here when I hear of a "jumper,"
I picture a dress with wide straps which girls wear over a
regular shirt.
(Not that I have a problem with males wearing dresses or
skirts. When the economy was better, I used to spend my
weekends handing out in the bookstores and coffee shops
of Ann Arbor. There was a group of five or six teenagers
whom I'd see regularly. One of the boys always wore a dress
or a skirt. I'm too old and culturely conditioned to do that, but
I always thought that was pretty cool.)
