"Jumpers" are very informal and generally worn by pre-teen
girls, although they're not as common as when I was growing
up. They don't go all the way to the shoulders, so a shirt must
be worn underneath.

I live in the upper midwest of the United States, about eighty
km west of Detroit, Michigan. Last Thursday, we had about
20 cm of snow. The temperature has been about negative 7C,
but it's supposed to warm up to about positive 5C by Wednesday.
