[which is how I interpret this (and what kind of "house" are they
visiting???:-))))] OR (2) one went in, then another, then another (so that
eventually they were all in the house) "one after the other" I think. This
would be _mesa çeluñi liya(ni)_ 'one behind-its other(def)' or
_mesa-mesa(ni) ~memesa(ni)_ 'one by one' in Kash; I don't know offhand what
(1) would be...food for thought..

In Kash too, now that you mention it.  A possibility: _lurundi_ contraction
of _ri yurun-ni_ 'LOC place-of it' with an irregular (old rule) sandhi of
the n-n (ought to be -ñ- in the modern language.) So there would be a
difference between
(1) me yavele sawu lurundi poren 'he gave me water instead of wine' vs.
(2) etengiç ta iyale ri yuruñi 'the books were not in their place' i.e. out
of place, not where they ought to have been.
